I am writing to you to express my thanks for the quality and workmanship in your products.

I had the misfortune to have an accident while riding my motorcycle a couple of weeks ago, luckily the damage to both myself and the bike are not too serious. However, I did slide along the road for quite a few yards trapped underneath the bike.

I was wearing a pair of made-to-measure leather trousers that I had purchased from you a few years ago, and, as I said, thanks to the quality of the materials used and the workmanship involved I received minimal bruising and abrasions to my left leg and foot. There is even very little damage to the trousers themselves, basically some scuffing that has almost disappeared with the application of some dubbin; the stitching has not burst, in fact, once the trousers were cleaned the marks are barely noticeable.
To say that I am impressed is a gross understatement.
I am sending a copy of this letter to “RiDE” magazine so that they may print it and hopefully this will increase your reputation for quality goods, I would also like you to send me details of your made-to-measure jackets as I am in need of a new one (even before the accident!).

It seems ages ago (May, in fact) that I rode up to Nottingham to be measured for a pair of leather trousers.

You may remember that we had a bit of delay on delivery with Parcel Force here in Southampton.

The reason for writing is just to say that I am delighted with the leathers now that they have worn in a bit. At first, as you said, they were stiff but are now softening up nicely whilst giving a feeling of real protection. I lived in them constantly for four days visiting the Nurburgring back in July and they were very comfortable.

I particularly appreciate the way you were able to tailor the pants to my own preference with jeans-type pockets in front and patch pockets on the backside. This works very well. That’s all really. Thanks for a great product and attentive service. It was good to be able to speak to you personally each time I telephoned. If you wish to use this letter as a testimonial for anyone who, like me, may hesitate at buying clothes at a distance, you are very welcome. Yours sincerely

Dear Mrs Green,

You may recall that I ordered a pair of BTK Style 2 leather trousers late last year, specially for the purposes of an extended tour of South America. I think they must have become caught up with the Christmas post rush, as they did not reach me until the New Year, only 2 days before I was due to leave!

They performed admirably whilst away, having to deal with more than one unplanned horizontal excursion down the dirt roads of Chile and Argentina, and have cleaned up extremely well now I’m back home.

In all we covered about 5,500 miles in 5 weeks of travelling - from Santiago, Chile, south to Tierra del Fuego, then back north along the Argentine coast, west across the country, over the Andes and back into Chile. Stunning scenery, but no Inca or Aztec temples down in this part of South America, although we did get to the southernmost point accessible by road (dirt, of course) on the continent - Bahia Lapataia in Tierra del Fuego. The enclosed photo (yours truly in exceedingly grubby trousers!) was taken at this point -El fin del Mundo - just a little way from the town of Ushuaia, the port normally used for access to Antarctica - only 600 miles further south! Cold? Not too bad, but it was midsummer down there.

I purchased a pair of your made to measure style 2 trousers before Christmas and felt I had to let you know how pleased I am with them. They fit beautifully and are softening up a treat.
